The Nothing brand has been the talk of the town lately and with their new Nothing Phone 3, they have got every tech enthusiast out there more excited than ever. Known for its transparent design language and minimalist aesthetics, Carl Pei’s smartphone brand continues to impress. With a refined aesthetic, upgraded internals, and deeper ecosystem integration, the Nothing Phone 3 is one of the most anticipated Android releases of 2025. If you are planning to get one, here’s everything you should know.
Nothing Phone 3 Specifications & Features
Under the hood, the Nothing Phone 3 is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset. This is a notable leap over previous generations and a clear signal of Nothing’s flagship ambitions. The device flaunts a vibrant 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel brings support for HDR10+ and offers a peak brightness of up to 1,800 nits.
Photography gets a serious upgrade as well. The rear now boasts a triple 50MP camera setup: a main sensor with OIS, an ultra-wide lens, and a periscope telephoto camera, each at 50MP. This trio is optimized for low-light performance and versatile shooting, with a dedicated video light for content creators. The front camera has been bumped up to 50MP as well, supporting 4K video calls and high-res selfies.
Battery life is also robust, thanks to a 5,150mAh cell supporting 65W wired and 15W wireless charging. The reimagined Glyph Interface offers smarter notification patterns and app-specific triggers. Out of the box, the Phone 3 runs Nothing OS 3.0, based on Android 15. It promises a cleaner UI and improved efficiency. Nothing is also committing to five years of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates. This is a reassuring move for longevity-minded buyers.
Design and Market Positioning: A True Flagship in the Making?
I would say Nothing started off pretty well by offering a budget(ish) smartphone to start with. They initially catered to the needs of the masses and are now aiming for the top of the line flagship experience. Now with more refined LED placements and a slightly curved aluminum frame for improved ergonomics, the device definitely feels slimmer and more polished, when compared to its predecessor, the Nothing Phone 2.
With a starting price of $799 (roughly AED 2,900), the Phone 3 is positioned squarely in the flagship segment. This time, they are aiming at taking on heavyweights like the Google Pixel 9, Samsung Galaxy S25, and iPhone 16. Nothing’s edge? It offers a genuinely fresh design and user experience in a market crowded with lookalikes. For design-focused consumers, this is a phone that stands out without sacrificing performance or value.
