Samsung Galaxy S25 is set to release in just a few months and we are already receiving a good amount of leaks ahead of the launch. While one of the recent leaks shed some light on the color options that could be made available at launch, there is another leak that hasn’t given the fans a sense of joy. It is being said that the Galaxy S25 lineup might use the same old display technology as the S24 family.
Display Technology: If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it
As per a recent report by ETNews, the Samsung Galaxy S25 series is said to feature displays produced using the same M13 organic materials as the current Galaxy S24 lineup. Now, this could be looked as a downgrade as Samsung is planning to use the same display technology that has been around for over a year now. The use of the same old technology is not what makes this a bad news for Samsung fans. It is the fact that Samsung already used the newer M14 materials in the production of the display panels for the iPhone 16 Pro models this year.
Yes, on paper this does seem disappointing for the hard-core Samsung enthusiasts. However, with the S24 lineup, Samsung already offered some of the best display panels in the market. Considering those panels were loved by thousands of S24 owners, this should not be a dealbreaker for those shopping for the S25 lineup in early 2025.

That’s not it. The report also revealed the expected display sizes of the upcoming S25 lineup. The smaller S25 is said to feature a 6.16-inch display, which is even smaller than the current Galaxy S24. The Galaxy S25 and S25 Ultra will feature a 6.66-inch and 6.86-inch display, respectively. For reference, the Samsung S24 Plus and Galaxy S24 Ultra feature 6.7-inch and 6.8-inch displays, respectively.
Color Options Expected
Besides the leak about the display panels, we are also getting the rumors about the expected Samsung S25 color options that will be made available at the launch. As per a recent tweet shared by Ross Young, CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC), the upcoming Galaxy S25 will be made available in Moon Night Blue, Silver Shadow, Sparkling Blue and Sparkling Green color variants.
While the Galaxy S25 Plus will also have the same color options as the S25, it will also get a Midnight Black as an added option. The top-of-the-line flagship Galaxy S25 Ultra is said to be launched in four color variants, namely, Titanium Black, Titanium Gray, Titanium Blue, and Titanium Silver.
